Is this still believed in the Mormon church, "But I expect, if I am faithful with yourselves, that I shall see the time with yourselves that we shall know how to prepare to organize an earth like this--know how to people that earth, how to redeem it, how to sanctify it, and how to glorify it, with those who live upon it. . ." That was found in the Journal of  Discourses. And I might be mistaken but something like that is also found in the D&C 132(which is undisputed bonde fide doctrine)

1. Eternal Progression
There is a couplet that goes like this: "As man is - God once was. As God is - man may become." We believe in eternal progression through the power and gift of Jesus Christ's atonement. 2. Eternal Progression
Yes, the Church still believes in Eternal Progression, that man and woman can be exalted and become gods(or goddesses) through faith and obedience to the commandments.

This wonderful gift be given to married couples who are sealed for eternity in a temple.

If you are looking for more information on this and other LDS subjects please feel free to go to www.lds.org, www.mormon.org, and www.fairslds.org

The doctrine of Exaltation is a core and fundamental doctrine of our Church, it is an eternal truth that will never change. All the Scriptures testify of this doctrine that was restored by the Prophet Joesph Smith.
