According to many mormons I have spoke with, and my own personal study of the book of mormon, I see that mormons believe that everyone goes to heaven; even if we don't accept the truth of Jesus Christ here on earth, we can still accept him after we die. If this is true, then why is Jesus' final commandment "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit." If salvation could still be recieved after death, then why would Jesus give this commandment as his last when there are far more important things he could've said, such as "It's no big deal if people don't believe in me on this Earth, because they will still be given the chance to believe after they die."? And if this belief was true then why did Jesus talk about the man that was in hell and couldn't leave in Luke 16:19-31? If the Christian belief was true that if you don't accept Jesus as your Lord on this Earth, then don't you think that Satan would love for people! to believe that you can still recieve salvation after death? I do not ask any of this to cause trouble; I am simply a seeker of truth. Sincerely, Your brother in Christ
