Okay my buddy is Mormon and he drinks coke and takes other things with caffeine. Why is coffee not allowed? Also what about near beer?  Is that allowed?

11. Caffeine, Beer etc
I find it interesting with the new health research concerning oxidants and the way they contribute to disease. An oxidant is an unbalanced atom and spoiled food are oxidants. Every thing the word of wisdom warns about are oxidants. Today science is verifying what this revelation stated over a hundred years ago. If you want to see some research about oxidants go to http://usefulmedinfo.com/disease/oxidative-stress.htm Also study the page on caffeine and see some surprising research about its problems for human consumption. Soda (every soda) is an oxidant. Soda with caffeine are worse.

12. Caffeine
Drinking too much caffeine is not good. It can make a person sick. I use to drink alot of caffeine, and then I started having episodes where my heart was beating fast. It was the result of the caffeine. I stopped all caffeine for a while. coca cola is also not good. I heard it has more acid in it then pepsi. One girl I met told me after she stopped drinking coca cola she would have headaches. My grandmother and cousin get headaches frequently if they don't have their coffee. The coffee is affecting something in the brain that causes them to have headaches when they don't have that usual coffee.
