Can someone who has been twice divorced be baptised as a Latter-day Saint?  Is re-marriage accepted in the church?

1. Yes.
My sister was married, got divorced, and is now married to her second husband, and they now have 2 children. Both marriages happened in the temple.

My wife's parents were divorced, and then both of them remarried, both marriages occured in the temple as well.

Remarriage is accepted.

2. how?
How can re-married be accepted if two people married in a Temple are supposed to be linked for eternity upon marriage? Obviously God wants marriages to last "for eternity" in your faith's case, so how then could someone divorce, which we know God hates, then want to remarry and still remain "clean" enough to still enter your temple and marry someone else, who they're now supposed to be with for "eternity"??? It just seems really confusing and contradictory to me.

3. Grateful for repentance
Jill,

People make mistakes. Even those who at some point are worthy of temple marriage make mistakes. Or it might be their spouse is the one making the mistakes and they suffer through the consequences of their spouses choices and/or mistakes.

We believe that people can repent and be forgiven of their sins. In this way someone who has made mistakes and strayed can come back to Our Heavenly Father and again be worthy of the temple.

4. What happens to the children?
If a couple is sealed in the temple and have children, then get divorced, do the children become sealed to the new husband? Actually I don't even know if it's just the husband and wife who will be together for eternity or the whole family. I've always wondered this and ask out of curiosity. thank you!
