11. Gay Mormon
I am a gay mormon. Though pretending to be attracted to women is quite the hassel, I love the Lord. I owe my life to him. And so if he does not want me to marry who I want, I will do that. I'm not sure about homosexuality being a sin, but I know its a sin if you disobey the Lord. And the Lord wants men and women to paired.

In this discussion it is important to separate feelings and actions, and the relationship between feelings and actions.

As far as actions go, both the scriptures and modern revelation say that for unmarried persons, only asexual actions are acceptable, and for married persons only heterosexual actions are acceptable, and then only with one's spouse.

As far as feelings, having any sort of sexual attractions or feelings can be sinful, whether it is homosexual, heterosexual or bisexual. The key here is that thoughts and feelings lead to our actions, so if we are entertaining sexual temptations of any kind, it can be a sin. But the fact that you are tempted whether hetero-sexually or homo-sexually is not a sin. The only difference here is that sexual desires are given to us by God so that men and women will be married, and He has ordained that marriage be between a man and a woman. Because of this, under some circumstances, entertaining sexual thoughts about someone who you may intend to marry isn't necessarily a thought that would lead you to sin, rather it is a pure thought that will lead you to be married and fulfill God's commandment to marry and multiply and replenish the earth.
