Do Mormons believe in the Atonement? PDF Print E-mail

If Mormons are true Christians, then they believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ. This means that Jesus died for the sins of ALL MANKIND. I don't believe that Jesus made any exceptions when he died for us all. Also, can you still consider yourself Christian if you don't believe in the atonement?

1. The Atonement
We absolutely believe in the atonement. Jesus Christ died for all our sins. Jesus was the only perfect person to live on the earth. All of us have and will commit sins. We need the atonement to wash ourselves from our sins. Because of the Savior's atonement all mankind will be resurrected.
