I have been meeting with missionaries for a while, and have noticed NONE of the Mormon families I have met have a dog in the house or any pets at all.. and when I think about it all of my LDS friends growing up NEVER had a dog either... Is there some wierd rule that pets or dogs are not allowed or looked down upon (maybe as unclean or something)?????

1. Pets
Mormons love there pets and many Mormon families keep indoor and/or outdoor pets. There is nothing against keeping pets or livestock, in fact we believe that animals also go to heaven and we can see our departed pets again in the afterlife.
