I have been hearing mixed things in regards to the The Virgin Mary and the conception of Jesus.  Is it true that Mormons believe that God himself came to Mary and had physical relations with her? After having any physical relations with God who is supposedly a God of flesh and bone wouldn't that make her not a virgin at the time of Jesus' birth? I guess I sound a little confused but I am!!!! Not to be disrespectful at all, I would just like a real answer in regards to the Mormon belief on the whole Immaculate Conception. Thank you =)

No, it is not true that we teach that God had physical relations with Mary. We really don't know how it happened, but we do know that Mary was a virgin, Jesus was born of Mary, and God was His father.

The Immaculate Conception has nothing to with Jesus being conceived. It means that Mary was conceived without original sin.
