Hi! My name is Alex and I am exploring some different world religions. I have come up with a few basic questions to learn more about the religions. I have already interviewed a different Christian religion and Secular Humanist. If you could take the time to answer the questions I would be very grateful!
Why did you choose to become a Mormon?
How committed are you to the Mormon Church?
What is the origin of the universe and man?
What is the purpose of mankind?
What is satisfaction and how do I obtain it?
What has gone wrong with the world?
When things go wrong, how do you fix them?
What is right and wrong?
Does everyone know the difference between right and wrong?
What does your faith do with the person of Jesus?

Thank you again! I'd love to know more about your faith.

1. One chooses to become a Latter-day Saint through following the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Apostles both ancient and modern. You make a covenant with God throught the ordiance of baptism to strive to live a christlike life to the best of your ability and to learn more of the Gospel and progress spiritually in this life a d the next.

2. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is run by a lay ministry that is all volunteer all remembers contribute to teaching, serving, and loving the people in there community. Almost every member has an active duty assigned by the Bishop of the congregation.

3. Your guess is as good as mine, we know through the scriptures that Elohim our Heavenly Father is the Father of our spirits. That his firstborn spirit child Jehovah is our Creator through the Preisthood power of the Father. There is much speculation and theories behind the universe and where everything came from.

The truth of the matter is no one knows 100% and I believe that no man will know in this lifetime, that is the beauty of existance though. We had an eternity before this moral life to prepare to come here, and another eternity after this life to continue to grow, learn, and understand many more things. We are hear now to have faith and gain a physical body and learn what we are mature enough to understand at this time.

4. Our purpose is to grow and mature spiritually and choose for ourselves to learn by our choices and progress or not progress based upon our actions and the atonement of Jesus Christ.

5. Satisfaction is a word and you get it however you believe it to be gotten. I do not care for satisfaction it is a worldly idea to be satisfied and I never want to be satisfied. I always want to be eager to move forward and learn never satisfied with where I am at.

Satisfaction is a way of diluting your potential and stopping your spiritual and emotional progression.

What I do desire is to learn, grow, and never stop to be satisfied with what I currently have found out.

6. Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with the world. Read the Holy Bible and you will see that we are exactly where the Prophets fortold the world would be in these latter days. There is many wrong things that happen in the world today, but these are all to be expected. The hearts of men wane cold and there are wars and rumors of wars. All fortold as signs that the second coming of Jesus Christ is ever closer.

7. What things go wrong you fix them through faith, love, long suffering, and charity.

8. Right and Wrong are two words in the english language nothing more. People get so hung up on right and wrong as if adhering to some written law is what Jesus Christ cres about.

Yes, there is sin there is things that we all do that is wicked and selfish, but that is prt of the plan. We are suppose to screw up here to learn why sin is evil. Hence the atonement tans the oppertunity to repent of past transgressions and be forgiven.

Too many focuse on judging right and wrong instead of working on becoming a better person and leaving the right and wrong up to the Lord whom is the only person that can judge a man\'s or woman\'s character and actions as right or wrong.

9. We all have within us what LDS call the light of Christ, also called conscience by those of the secular persuasion. Like all things spiritual though the Light of Christ is not forceful it will not make you choose righteousness over wickedness. This light can be ignored and if one tries hard enough can be snuffed out through justification, hatred, and anger.

10. My faith centers on Jesus Christ he is my Eldest Brother, my Creator, my Savior, my redeemer, my Lord and King. Without his example and atonement I am a lost wrech, without hope or guidance. Wandering in darkness in misery and confusion. He loves me and saved me from sin and my selfish nature. He is my everything and I praise his holy name every day.
