2. Where to start?
This question does deserve much more of an answer than just "everything", although that answer isn't necessarily wrong.

I think what I like best about being a Mormon is having a solid testimony about the pillars of the faith. The LDS faith has several points of doctrine that are pretty much unique to our faith and set it apart from any other out there. The Book of Mormon, the prophet Joseph Smith, the restoration of the priesthood, living prophets and apostles and temple work for the dead are just a few examples. If a person can get a personal revelation from God that even one or two of these doctrines were true, they would be able to know that this was the true church of Jesus Christ, apart from all other churches on the earth. I and millions of other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can boldly testify that we have not only received revelation about the truth one or two of these points of doctrine but all of them.

I can't even begin to describe what an anchor this is in my life. No matter how crazy life gets, no matter what trials and challenges come my way, I can fall back on these truths and know that Heavenly Father is watching out for me and will get me through the trials. It enables me to see the "big picture" and better understand the purpose of this life. It gives me strength and hope to keep trying to be a better person, a better husband and father, a better neighbor. I can't imagine what my life would be like without this knowledge.

The most beautiful thing about this is that this knowlege is available for everyone, not just for an elite few. God has promised that anyone who approaches him in prayer, in humility and with a real desire to know and follow the truth, can receive this personal witness through the power of the Holy Ghost.
