Where is the archaeological proof of the Book of Mormon wars? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Roy

I am an inactive member of the church.  I became inactive about 3 years ago.  At some point I started questioning Joseph Smith.  The more I looked for positive things about him, the more I found negative information.  Such as the numbers of people he speaks of going to war in the BOM was not seen on this world until the 1950's.  Also nothing has been found of these wars, no weapons, metal materials, no bones , nothing to support his account.

Honestly I'm not trying to be negative or put down the Church, the truth really matters to me.   I wonder if you just have to have faith, and thats it, just alot of faith.  've gone to other churches just to check them out, and I have to say there is nothing there for me. I have no spiritual home now, for me this isn't a fun place to be.

Then I became inactive it happen in small pieces, what I mean is I slowly went to church less and less.  I found very few members of my Ward that seemed to care, maybe that was part of it.  Perhaps if someone had said "hey whats going on" or something, things would be different now. Maybe they didnt want to seem pushy, I dont know. I wish someone had asked.

Anyway, my question is what do you think?  From what you read here, where should I go from here, and how should I get there. Im just thinking input from someone else may help me figure this whole thing out.  Not any easy question I know  :)

11. Evidences of Book of Mormon
I read through some of the FAIR links. I can't tell if it asserts that there WERE tribes of Jewish descent or that there STILL are tribes with Jewish DNA.

12. Evidences of Book of Mormon
There is actually allot of evidence for the Book of Mormon. There are whole books written about it. Having said that, we need to understand that some people have a need to depend upon physical evidence. This is a very shaky position, particularly now when so many people can spread false information. It is nice when physical evidence agree's with the BOM, however, those with a spiritual witness know that knowledge from God is feels much more sure.

The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is the Book of Mormon itself. try reading it with a desire to understand what it teaches. You will come to realize that a con man could not have written something that is so pure and persuassive toward good.

13. evidence
the mayans and all those cultures acually have a lot in common with the nephites and lamanites, so that possibly could all be them.
