There is no problem coming back to church. There will be no reason why you can't even go to the temple. Although tattoos are discouraged, they will not prevent anyone from being baptized, receive the priesthood, go to the temple, etc. 
 
You will probably have to put up with some comments from some members who might be insensitive, but just ignore them. 
 
All are welcome to come to Christ who keep his commandments. No tattoos is not a commandment. It is counsel that should be heeded, but you should feel absolutely welcome in coming.
