Somebody pretty much already sated this, but my seminary explained that we beleive in oneness, one in purpose. I will admit if I didn't have teachers guiding, and I hadn't prayed about this I would have been very confused. 
also I would just like to comment that we beleive Jesus Christ atonement is central to the plan of slavation and that without it their could be no repentance, and Dave, sorry your feelings were hurt, that's just the feeling were sometimes get from other religions.
