Been there done that
Allie,
I know this is an old post, but I wanted to comment because I was married in the temple and my dad waited outside. He had his name removed from the church years before I got married and I knew at that point that my dad would not be there. It is not easy emotionally. But really that moment is about you, your future spouse, and God. It is nice to have the support of everyone and when you get married in the temple you can look around at those who are there and see all the support you do have for your beliefs. It is such a sacred ceremony where you and your spouse become an eternal family, you can have happily EVER AFTER! It won't be easy and you will still have to work hard for it, but you and your spouse can have an eternal family. What a blessing for a little sacrifice of being in the temple for that moment. Also, I had a ring ceremony after the temple ceremony where we exchanged rings. That is completely acceptable, vows are just not shared at that time. I hope you make the decision to marry in the temple it is a decision I have never regretted.
