I was wondering if someone could tell me an appropriate gift for us to give to our new neighbors who are LDS members. They are a wonderful young family and I would really like to give them a little "Welcome to the neighborhood" gift. My main concern, not being a LDS member, is making sure I don’t give them something inappropriate.

1. Mormons love sweets! I think something as simple as cookies, brownies, or something like that would be good. The only thing that might to avoid is making them with coffee flavor as some mormons would be hesitant about that. Mormons are well-known for welcoming neighbors with some kind of goodie. We don't do drugs, alcohol, etc - but we do like our sweets! Registered 05-27-2012 18:45 2. Mormons love sweets! Feel free to give them anything you would give any other neighbor, except a bottle of wine perhaps (though many Mormons would get a good laugh and appreciate a gift of wine too). Most LDS would appreciate any gift from a neighbor, you can't really go wrong. Guest 05-29-2012 19:39 Write Comment
